Bimbel Sina Lentera is a tutoring and learning center that supports high school students in achieving their academic goals, and we are currently looking for a dedicated High School Chemistry Teacher to join our teaching team in Purwokerto. This position is a great opportunity for students or fresh graduates who are passionate about chemistry and eager to help learners understand one of the most challenging subjects in the science curriculum. As a chemistry teacher at our learning center, you will play an important role in guiding students through complex concepts, preparing them for exams, and building their confidence in problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities
- Teach high school chemistry materials in accordance with the national curriculum and the learning center’s guidelines.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, practice questions, and evaluation tools for each session.
- Explain chemistry concepts clearly, including topics such as stoichiometry, chemical bonding, acids and bases, thermochemistry, and reaction rates.
- Guide students in solving chemistry problems and completing practice exercises, both individually and in groups.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, assignments, and periodic evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with students and, when needed, with parents or guardians regarding learning progress.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to improve teaching methods and share learning resources.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Male or female candidates are welcome to apply.
- Active university students or graduates with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (S1) in Chemistry, Chemistry Education, or a related field.
- Domiciled in Purwokerto or willing to work in the Purwokerto area.
- Strong communication skills, both in explaining concepts and in interacting with students.
- Ability to maintain professional ethics and act as a positive role model for students.
- Patient, responsible, and enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring young learners.
- Open to candidates with no prior teaching experience, as long as they demonstrate solid subject knowledge and a willingness to learn.
- Available to work Monday to Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
