As Chief Cashier, you will oversee daily cashiering activities, ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately, and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the company’s daily revenue reporting. Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the primary point of accountability for cashiering operations at the store or branch level. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handling cash, card, and other payment methods while ensuring all amounts are correct and properly recorded.
- Preparing and submitting daily transaction and financial reports to management.
- Reconciling cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, and investigating any discrepancies.
- Monitoring cashiering activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Providing guidance and direction to junior cashiers, including task allocation and basic coaching.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional checkout area.
- Delivering friendly and responsive service to customers at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Male or female, with a maximum age of 25 years.
- Minimum education of SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience as a cashier, with a solid understanding of POS systems.
- Comfortable and proficient in operating computers.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and take responsibility for financial transaction reports.
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Possesses leadership qualities and the ability to guide others.
