Job Responsibilities
As Assistant Finance Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the hotel’s financial operations. Working closely with the Finance Controller, you will help lead the finance team and support the achievement of the hotel’s business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Finance Controller in managing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for management review.
- Supporting the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in line with hotel business objectives.
- Monitoring and controlling costs, expenses, and inventory to maximize profitability.
- Ensuring compliance with internal financial policies, accounting standards, and local tax regulations.
- Coordinating with department heads to review financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Supervising, coaching, and mentoring finance team members to build a strong and capable department.
- Assisting with internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
- Analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Performing other finance-related duties as assigned by the Finance Controller or hotel management.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate a combination of technical finance expertise, leadership ability, and a results-driven mindset. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum D3/D4 education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of experience in the same or a similar position, preferably within an international hotel chain.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of the Kalimantan market is preferred.
- Good leadership, coaching, and counseling skills to guide and develop team members.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities.
- Result-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to prioritize tasks consistently with business objectives.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and hotel accounting practices.
- Open to all genders and committed to professional excellence in the hospitality industry.
