Job Responsibilities
As an Engineering Staff member at Hotel Santika Batam, you will be responsible for supporting the daily technical operations of the hotel. Your work will directly contribute to guest satisfaction by keeping our facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. Typical duties may include:
- Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on hotel equipment, fixtures, and facilities
- Assisting senior engineering team members with technical inspections and troubleshooting
- Monitoring the condition of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems across the property
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests from other departments and guests
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in engineering work areas and storage rooms
- Reporting any safety hazards, damages, or equipment issues to supervisors
- Following all hotel safety procedures and standard operating guidelines
- Working flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as scheduled by the engineering department
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this Engineering Staff position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum Senior High School (SMA/SMK) graduate or equivalent
- Experience as an apprentice or trainee in a similar engineering position is preferred
- Creative and passionate about delivering an exceptional level of guest service
- Physically fit and able to work on flexible shifts
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness and maintenance standards
- Positive attitude with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good spoken communication skills to coordinate effectively with colleagues and other departments
- Open to all genders and candidates at the start of their engineering career
What We Offer
Joining Hotel Santika Batam as an Engineering Staff member offers a competitive salary range of IDR 2,100,000 to IDR 4,000,000 per month, depending on your qualifications and experience. You will work a Monday to Saturday schedule within a supportive hospitality environment where teamwork and professional development are encouraged.
