Sekolah Alam Hamqa is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Shadow Teacher to join our educational team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and who want to make a meaningful difference in a dynamic, nature-based school environment. As a Shadow Teacher, you will work closely with classroom teachers, students, and parents to ensure that every child receives the guidance and encouragement they need to thrive academically and socially.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional learning support, including children with special needs (ABK).
- Accompany and guide assigned students throughout daily classroom activities, ensuring they stay focused and engaged.
- Collaborate with homeroom teachers to adapt lessons and materials to meet individual student needs.
- Support students in developing social skills, independence, and confidence in both classroom and outdoor learning settings.
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers and parents regularly.
- Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Help integrate Islamic values and Qur’anic learning into daily student activities.
- Prepare simple learning media and teaching aids, including basic design and editing tasks using tools such as Canva, CapCut, or CorelDRAW when needed.
- Support administrative and library-related tasks as assigned by the school.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1), preferably in Elementary Education (PGSD) or Education-related fields.
- Minimum memorization of 1 Juz of the Qur’an.
- UMMI certification is highly preferred.
- Experience accompanying children with special needs (ABK) is an advantage.
- Ability to design and edit simple educational materials using Canva, CapCut, CorelDRAW, or similar tools.
- Background in Administration or Library Science is welcome for supporting roles.
- Female candidates are preferred for this position.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; no prior experience is required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong teaching skill development and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Patient, empathetic, and able to work collaboratively within a team.
Work Schedule and Environment
The working days for this position are Monday through Saturday, with working hours from 08:00 to 17:00.
